I made a mistake on my tax return, but it didn't affect the deduction. Do I have to resubmit my return? and got a better answer

I would not file a corrective tax return, since you are not yet receiving the interest deduction and this amount does not affect anything yet. Next year, the amount of interest paid will still be shown on an accrual basis. Even if the inspectors see your mistake, they will consider it insignificant and give you a deduction?

If you are claiming a property deduction for the purchase of property, then why torture yourself and put an additional deduction for the interest in your declaration. When you have exhausted the deduction for the purchase, you will use the deduction for the interest and fill in the declaration. Although more advantageous first claim the deduction for the interest because at the beginning of the mortgage payment in the payment will be a large part of the interest. So I think that the correction is not necessary to submit as the base in this case, the error does not affect.

In the declaration, you declare property rights. And next year you will be filing a declaration on the basis of erroneous data from this year's declaration. You would be better off filing a statement of clarification and providing documents on ownership rights. You do not need to write a second application for a deduction.
