Who likes Erich Maria Remarque novels? and got a better answer

Monotonous? Well, I don't agree with that! I really like his novels. Sure, they're all mostly about war, but there's love, friendship and love of life everywhere! Are those things the most important?

I reread Arc de Triomphe several times! Similar in spirit to Kundera's The Unbearable Lightness of Being. I highly recommend it. Although there must be a time for each kigi.

Nyusha is right! To call Remarque novels monotonous-just read them with a certain mood!

Natasha Kozlova is right - the book has its time. It needs to mature. Remarque is about the eternal in ordinary life. Worth reading.
