Too bad about the thing. Unfortunately, it won't be cost-effective to repair. You'll probably have to pay as much if not more for a new display than you would for a new machine. It's like with LED flashlights - if you want to buy a white LED, you find out that it costs as much as a whole flashlight with a bunch of LEDs. Market paradox. There is less demand for parts and their price is higher.
