Some kind of elastic glue, rubber, cobbler, mix it with soot or something else opaque and put the blind.

Replace the curtains with new ones. buy them on eBay or wherever you can get them. or have the machine repaired by a repairman.

Try not to let extra light in the camera - take the lens cap off just before you release the shutter and then put it on again straight away. you can also shut the aperture down hard and open it to the necessary level before you release it - don't walk around with the lens open Try something thin but heavy silk but I can't remember anyone darning the holes in the shutter.
