The main commandment of a Satanist is to believe in nothing. And do everything for your own good. Satanists don't worship Satan. They don't believe in anything. Goths aren't Satanists, they're Goths. But I don't like them for some reason. I don't like Satanists either. You can't do everything for yourself. And do not believe in anyone. So a lot of ordinary people are Satanists to some extent. If you want to know, read the Satanic Bible of Aleister Crowley. It's for your general education. You have to know your enemy. Satanists are mistaken for Satanists. Confused with occultists, etc.

sect is usually a hunted down people controlled by another Eric Cartman there is no orthodox sect as far as I know, there are a couple of books like lucifer's bible the authors of which I do not remember some have reached to sacrifice people more often true not because of religious but practical motives preach selfish low moral life style; As Xenia has already said - these are adolescents for the most part adolescent maximalism; and those who attract them in order to somehow use such a worldview by the way protest usually against Christian parents, who have overlooked something, or were too zealous in looking after. And dysfunctional families don't like that wording - everyone wants to feel like they're part of something bigger.

Satan worshippers, serving black masses where the opposite is true compared to the divine, offering sacrifices.
